The year 7777.  The year everything changed.

Reagan 21/31a knew of the existence of vague stories and ancient myths about 7777.

 

Of course she dismissed them as the ramblings of mad men in the science labs of the distant past.

 

"Hey we don't even have the concept of time and date any more. It's pointless. And men?" What a strange and alien concept gender was. Men and women? It seemed quite funny. For a split second she almost fashioned her mouth into something resembling a smile however it quickly disappeared and Reagan's face returned to its normal motionless and emotionless state.

 

"Why do I have these thoughts?" she pondered and then slightly admonished herself before powering down her capsule to go into stasis.

In ancient lore the time and date was actually 11:59:30 and  December 31st 7776 A.D.

 

The concept though didn't really have any significance for Reagan. The fact that she thought of it was dismissed from her mind as an unusual anomaly.

 

Her capsule shut down and for all intents and purposes Reagan 21/31a didn't exist any more.

As the imaginary clock ticked down towards 00:00:00 and Jan 1st  Reagan was completely unaware of a slight change in frequency of the constant hum emitted from Gaia.

 

Something was different.....
